When rapper, entreprenuer and actor Curtis Jackson also know as Fifty Cent goes on a Twitter rant its usually about him and this time I understand why and where his frustration comes from. He feels as if the Starz network is not allowing his show Power to grow the way that it should and the network cut his 12 episodes to 10 episodes which has left him feeling some sort of way about his character and the network.
Power is the number one drama series on cable and on regular television, so why won’t the powers that be allow the additional episodes? Your guess is good as mine but we all know when it comes to Curtis Jackson there are always three sides to a story, his side, their side and the truth lies somewhere in the middle. So of course he takes his frustration to social media, don’t they always?
“I woke up feeling a little different about POWER this morning . If the biggest show on your net work doesn’t mean anything, what does your network mean STARZ? I’m taking my talents to south beach fuck this.”
Fifty is actually threatening to leave the show after Sunday’s episode, I was disappointed that the show let Kanan leave again, we would like to see where his character goes but now we are all confused which is not a good thing for the show. Originally the show was planned for two parts, according to Courtney Kemp, Starz didn’t agree to extend the last episode which made the episode lose what it gained in the beginning. It’s taking another route and as much I love the show, I don’t like where Angela is going, I don’t like where Mike Sandoval is going and we want to see more of Kanan. Yes I was disappointed in this last episode but hopefully the show do a major turn around.

Cardi B Nominated For Two Grammy’s
“Love & Hip Hop: New York” former reality star Cardi B has exceeded her dreams in the year 2017, from a stripper to an Instagram sensation to a reality star and now a rapper, Cardi B has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. Talk about never allowing the past to define your future, Cardi B is an inspiration to anyone who has a dream and a past, never give on your dream and sometimes your past may work in your favor.
The “regular, degular, shmegular girl from the Bronx” was not only the breakout reality star but her catch-phrases and her no nonsense attitude filled our television screens every week for an hour. We instantly fell in love with the girl from the Bronx and we are definitely happy to see her in the space she’s in.
Cardi has been nominated for two Grammy Awards which is a first for a female rapper. Her song, “Bodak Yellow” has been nominated for two Grammy’s, rap song and rap performance, the category rap performance is a new one on me. That’s really odd but I’m not hating on Cardi, I’m glad to see that she has been nominated for any song this year. This was her first year as a performer, that was a feat in itself.
She put out her first mix tape, “Gangsta B4tch Music, Vol. 1,” last year, it was a little heavy but with her catch-phrases it didn’t do so bad for her first release. “Vol. 2” was released at the beginning of the year, and by the spring, she signed a deal with Atlantic Records. That’s when “Bodak Yellow,” hit and it became the new women’s anthem.
“Bodak Yellow” raced up the charts and knocking Taylor Swift off the top of the pop category. She became the first female rapper to score a solo No. 1 since Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” almost twenty years ago. She did that by herself without any collaborations, that’s what you call a real hustler!!
Everything seems to be glowing up roses for Cardi, she is now engaged to Offset from the Migos and plans to marry her rapper fiance’ on a VH1 special!! We are so proud of Cardi B and her accomplishments and we wish her the best of luck with her Grammy nominations. The look on Nicki Minaj’s face I’m sure is priceless.
