Miley Cyrus Negative Rap Comments

Pop star Miley Cyrus had an interview with Billboard magazine and when she asked about rap music, she made some comments that were disrespectful to the hip hop community. Now that Miley decides she wants to grow up at 24 years old, she wants to change her image as well as the music she gravitated too which was hip hop, she wanted desperately to be in that life and now that she is getting married, hip hop or rap music is not good for her now.

Hip hop and rap music was good for Miley when she thought she was in, no matter how much she thinks she in that realm of music, she will always be known as a Disney kid. She was never accepted in rap or hip hop, she was lucky that she was able to collaborate with some great artists but because she claims to be changing her image, she doesn’t have the desire to have that type of music interfere in her life.

Miley feels that hip hop has too many sexual lyrics, its materialistic, disrespectful towards women, the need to be like the Jones and the drugs but this the same girl who reveled in hip hop music and the life these artists lived. Nobody begged her to become part of hip hop, had she continued singing pop music instead of venturing off to hip hop, she wouldn’t need to be back pedaling for the disrespectful comments she made in her interview with Billboard Magazine.

Miley’s interview, “That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little. It was too much ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my cock’ — I am so not that.” She identified Kendrick Lamar’s song “HUMBLE.” as an example of a rap song she enjoys. “’Show me somethin’ natural like ass with some stretch marks.’ I love that because it’s not ‘Come sit on my dick, suck on my cock.’ I can’t listen to that anymore.”

Miley’s open letter on Instagram to her fans:

When articles are read it isn’t always considered that for hours I’ve spoken with a journalist about my life , where my heart is, my perspective at that time, and the next step in my career. Unfortunately only a portion of that interview makes it to print, & A lot of the time publications like to focus on the most sensationalized part of the conversation. So, to be clear I respect ALL artists who speak their truth and appreciate ALL genres of music (country , pop , alternative …. but in this particular interview I was asked about rap) I have always and will continue to love and celebrate hip hop as I’ve collaborated with some of the very best! At this point in my life I am expanding personally/musically and gravitating more towards uplifting, conscious rap! As I get older I understand the effect music has on the world & Seeing where we are today I feel the younger generation needs to hear positive powerful lyrics! I am proud to be an artist with out borders and thankful for the opportunity to explore so many different styles/ sounds! I hope my words (sung or spoken) always encourage others to LOVE…. Laugh…. Live fully…. to be there for one another… to unify, and to fight for what’s right (human , animal , or environmental ) Sending peace to all! Look forward to sharing my new tunes with you soon! – MC

Everyone has the right to express their opinion and a right to mature, but while you are maturing, you don’t have the right to disrespect another genre of music because of your experiences. She chose to venture in the hip hop scene and because she never felt accepted, that’s her fault, not hip hop. Rap can be nasty, rude, vile but most rappers are telling their stories, the way they lived and sometimes you have to gutter with the lyrics.

Miley is a Disney kid, she never grew up in the hood, she’s probably never been in the hood, she doesn’t know hood life or hood survival. Its like a black suburban kid who visits his cousin in hood, that doesn’t make him hood because he visits his cousin in the hood, he’s a visiting suburban kid in the hood. Somebody needs to educate this girl before she says something else that will get her in trouble. I never liked Miley, when she did those few songs with hip hop artists, I felt she was fake as f$ck and got lucky because of who she is.
